Let’s be honest, this is exhausting.

If you’re a busy mum, juggling work, family, business, and maybe even study, then you already know what I mean. It’s not just “tired.” It’s deep, soul-level exhaustion. And yet, you still show up. You still push through. Because you have to.

There’s the job. The business. The kids. The home. The deadlines. And sometimes... it’s that time of the month, too.

But even when you’re cramping and drained, life doesn’t stop. You don’t get to clock out.

And if you’re anything like me, ambitious and determined, you won’t stop. You can’t. You want a better life for yourself, for your family. You want your business to grow. You want to progress in your career or your studies. But what do you do when you’re simply out of energy?

Let’s Call It What It Is: Overwhelm

Sometimes it’s not laziness. It’s not procrastination. It's just pure exhaustion.

You still care. You still want to get things done. But your body and mind are saying, “Not today.”

So how do we navigate this when we’re already maxed out but still want more for our lives?

Here’s What I Do When It Feels Like Too Much

Let me share what helps me during these moments, and I hope you’ll share yours too:

1. Give Yourself Permission to Pause

Not quit. Just pause. Some days, I literally lie down and say, “I’ll get up in 10 minutes.” Then I wake up two hours later because that’s what I needed. Rest is not a luxury. It’s essential.

2. Check In With Yourself

Ask yourself: Am I okay? Sometimes we are pushing on autopilot and haven’t stopped to check in. Your health, your peace, your mind those things matter. You can’t pour from an empty cup.

3. Simplify Your Priorities

If everything feels urgent, nothing gets done. What’s the one thing you need to get done today? Just one. Start there.

4. Get Comfortable With Slow Seasons

Not every season is a sprint. Sometimes business is slow. Sometimes motivation is low. Sometimes progress feels invisible. That’s okay. It doesn’t mean you're failing, it means you’re human.

5. Draw Inspiration From Purpose

When things feel heavy, remind yourself why you started. Whether it’s your kids, your goals, or your calling, there’s a reason behind your hustle. Go back to that place.

So, What Do We Do When There’s No Energy Left?

We acknowledge it. We rest when we need to. We keep our dreams in sight, but we take the journey step by step, not all at once.

You are not weak for needing rest. You are not lazy for pausing. You are wise for listening to your body. And you are brave for still showing up in the middle of it all.

Let’s Hear From You

What do you do when everything feels overwhelming? When there’s a wall in front of you, but you still want to move forward, how do you cope? What keeps you going?

Let’s have this conversation. Because if there’s one thing I know, it’s that you’re not alone.

Stay strong, stay kind to yourself, and remember: even slow progress is still progress.
