To the Woman Who Feels Behind: You’re Not Late You’re Just in Preparation

Hey love,

Let’s take a deep breath together. Just for a moment.

I know what it’s like to carry a thousand thoughts in your head while smiling through a full day of responsibilities. I know what it feels like to have your hands busy with nappies, homework, dinner, deadlines, and still have your heart longing for the dreams you haven't yet seen come to life. You’re not alone. You are me.

There are days when it all feels like too much and yet somehow, not enough. You’ve got vision. So many ideas. You've started the YouTube channel. You’ve launched the blog. You’ve prayed over your business. You’ve written out plans, sacrificed sleep, and shown up again and again. And yet… the growth you expected? It's not there. Not in the way you hoped.

You look around, and it feels like others are gliding past you, launching, scaling, succeeding. People who started after you are now being noticed, celebrated, and followed. Meanwhile, you’re still working behind the scenes, questioning if anyone even sees you. Wondering if you missed your moment or misunderstood your assignment.

But I want to speak straight to that doubt today.

You are not behind. You are not forgotten. You are not late. You are in preparation.

The Wait Is Not a Waste

I know it’s hard to watch others rise when you’re still wrestling with your ‘why not yet.’ I know how heavy it can feel when you've poured out your heart, your prayers, your time and still feel like nothing is moving.

But friend, let me remind you: seeds grow in silence. And just because you don’t see the fruit yet doesn’t mean the roots aren’t taking hold.

We live in a world that celebrates speed and visibility. Everything is instant, viral videos, overnight success stories, highlight reels. But the Kingdom of God works differently. He’s not building you for a moment; He’s building you for impact. Lasting impact.

And that kind of impact takes time. It takes preparation. It takes pruning. It takes private development. You can’t rush it. God will not promote what hasn’t been processed. And right now? You’re being processed, not punished.

Let me take a moment to share a song I wrote from my personal experience of waiting. With the help of some AI tools, I was able to turn those feelings into music. You can listen to it here; it’s called The Waiting Room.

Let Them

I read something recently that stayed with me. The book was Let Them” by Mel Robbins. While to me it did not focus on Christianity in its message, it spoke to something very biblical in me: release people to their journey and focus on your own.

Let them go viral. Let them grow fast. Let them be celebrated. Let them seem ahead.

Let them. But don’t let go of what God told you to do.

Comparison will kill your creativity. Jealousy will choke your joy. God’s path for you is not on a timer based on them. It’s on His divine timeline, and He has not forgotten you.

Maybe right now, He’s teaching you endurance. Maybe He’s healing some heart things before you lead others. Maybe He’s maturing your message. Maybe He’s training you in excellence behind closed doors before He opens the public stage.

Whatever it is, trust that He’s preparing you for more than you can see.

This Season Isn’t Small

Let’s be honest. You’re not just trying to “build a business.” You’re building a life that aligns with your faith, your family, your calling, and your purpose. That’s no small task. It takes energy. It takes emotion. It takes grace.

You're not just a content creator. You're a mum. A wife. A woman of God. A student of life. Someone managing emotions, expectations, and the everyday hustle. So be kind to yourself.

This a slower season. It’s not failure. Its formation.

And yes, it’s tempting to chase fast wins, to do what everyone else is doing, to try the shortcut. But deep down, you don’t want quick success that crumbles. You want fruit that remains. You want to create with meaning, not just metrics.

So take the slower road if that’s what’s in front of you. Say no to what doesn’t align. Say yes to growth that’s authentic. And remember: you’re doing better than you think.

What You Don’t See

You don’t see how many people you’ve already helped. You don’t see the seeds you’ve planted in people’s lives. You don’t see the impact of your presence, your honesty, your courage to even try. You don’t see the full picture that God is weaving together behind the scenes.

But you will. One day, you’ll look back at this season and thank God you didn’t give up. You’ll see how He used the waiting to shape your voice. How He used the quiet to deepen your faith. How he used the ‘not yet’ to build the kind of woman who wouldn’t collapse when the door finally opened.

So keep going. Not because it's easy, but because it's purposeful.

A Gentle Reminder

Here’s what I want you to remember the next time the enemy whispers “you’re behind”:

  • God’s timing is not your enemy.

  • Growth looks different for everyone.

  • What you’re doing matters, even when it’s unseen.

  • You don’t need to prove yourself. You need to trust your process.

  • You are being positioned, not punished.

Let them go ahead. That’s their story. You? You’re walking into something sacred. Something set apart. And the wait is not a delay, it’s divine design.

Your Time Will Come

So breathe again. Be still. Pick up your head. Speak life back into your calling.

Go back to the blog.

Pick up the video camera again.

Write the caption.

Send the email.

Dream out loud.

Not because everything is working yet, but because God is.

Because faith isn’t just believing He’ll do it, but continuing to walk like He already has.

Your time will come, and when it does, it will make sense. Not because it was perfect, but because it was worth it.

I’m cheering for you because I am you, and together, we’re going to keep rising.

With love,

Your fellow sister-in-the-same-season
